To note……..Bidding has commenced due to many not being able to attend.
Novel and unique to Tilting’s history, we are presenting a show of 30 period originals from the known Dorset Painters and a few others that you will recognize. As many have experienced, two collectors find the need to disperse of their private collections. I am finding this an interesting experience as I live near the homes of many of these past creators. Plus many stories have been shared regarding past associates and relatives who enjoyed being taught by many of these artists.
Arthur Jones was taught by a Dorset Painter and went on to teach one of the artist in the show (now deceased) how to paint. So many connecting links that it has be fascinating. I do hope you stop in to view the show. Bids have started and can take place beforehand because many are unable to attend the show in person. I will call if bids are topped.
