ROCK – SCISSOR – PAPER SHOW
ROCK – SCISSORS – PAPER SHOW
Rocks consist of African Shona Sculptures in varying sizes for outside gardens and / or inside with your private collection. For over fifty years the art from Zimbabwe has been appreciated and enjoyed world wide. These hand carved sculptures express recognizable human feelings. Each piece is a design that is refreshingly original. They are rendered in richly-colored native stone such as serpentine, springstone and soapstone. Best of all each piece is invitingly touchable.
Precious paper…….the age old medium, honoring original works, scrolls, varying types of prints such as stone printed lithographs, serigraphs, hand colored etchings, monotypes, graphite, colored pencil drawings and on and on. Some of the art is from Tilting’s 47 plus year old archival collection plus some recent acquisitions due to my personal passion for art and new expressions. You will find framed pieces ready for your walls plus unframed art awaiting your personal design.
Unfortunately, there is only one pair of bronze (running) scissors created by Susan Read Cronin. But they complete the theme!
The show will begin Saturday, May 26th – June, with ‘clothesline’ presentation changing weekly.
Refreshments will be served thru-out the week-end.
Titling at Windmills Gallery hours are 10am – 5pm daily with the exceptions –
closed Wednesdays and Sundays closing at 4pm.
